Part-Time Outdoor Learning/Forest School Teaching Assistant

Required ASAP

NJC Grade B.

12.5 Hours per week & 38 weeks per annum.

Are you passionate about fostering a love for nature and outdoor learning? Monkleigh Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic TA to work with small groups of children in our forest school area. Additional Forest school training can be given for the right candidate.

Hours – 5 afternoons a week – 1.00pm -3.30pm

Salary – TA Grade B

Start Date – ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and educational outdoor education sessions (with support from our forest school leaders).
  • Fostering a love for nature and the outdoors through hands-on, experiential learning.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment for students to explore and connect with the natural world.
  • In charge of the forest school area – keeping it fully resourced and tidy, securing funding for more resources, planting and overseeing crops for use in the school kitchen (time will be given in the forest school area to maintain the site)

32.5 Hours per week & 39 weeks per annum.

 Monkleigh Primary School are seeking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic teacher for the next academic year in a KS2 class – either year 3/4 or Year 5/6 class.

The ideal candidate is someone who can bring fresh ideas, a drive to improve and willingness to work collaboratively across a team. 

You will:

Ideally the successful candidate would have experience of teaching  KS2 and SATs and interest/experience in taking on subject lead possibly in computing and/or another subject.
